Shay Mitchell

Shay Mitchell has been a Canadian actor, model and business owner for over 10 years. She is best known as Emily Fields from the Freeform TV series Pretty Little Liars. Shay Lo is the nickname of an avid Jennifer Lopez Mitchell fan who became popular among the group of friends. As a young girl, her interest in performance art was growing. She confided to her parents that one day she wanted to earn a living from performing arts. After exceling with modeling and dancing, she wanted to try to become an actor and began acting classes in Toronto. After landing a couple of advertisements and guest roles on the television show Mitchell received her first big break when she was cast as Emily Fields in Pretty Little Liars. Both critics and viewers were awestruck by Mitchell's performance. The Possession of Hannah Grace, Mother's Day, and Dreamland are just a few of the films that helped her become a household name on screen. The psycho thriller You, in which she played the lead role, gained her greater recognition. Shay Mitchell also has a writing career. Along with Michaela Blayne, she wrote an adult-oriented novel titled Bliss.
