Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is a Scottish born and bred singer. She was born on the 25th of December in 1954, at Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother, while Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox was a student at Lennox's Royal Academy of Music, London in the 1970s. She was a harpsichord student and the flautist piano for three years. She was able to survive on a student allowance and worked part-time to help supplement her income. Lennox as she was studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London, was not happy in her performance when in comparison to the other students. She began considering different options. Lennox was initially an instrument player within the band Dragons Playground. But she quit when the band was featured on I.T.V.s talent show New Faces. From 1977 to 1980 she was main vocalist of The Tourists, a British Pop band. It was during this time that she came across Dave Stewart with whom she formed Pop duo Eurythmics. After that, Lennox began working for her debut album as a solo artist Diva which was released in 1992. It was an enormous hit as well as selling and the critical acclaim. Nostalgia Lennoxs Six solo album, released in October 2014 is Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. Lennox has chosen her favorite jazz, blues and soul tunes. Lepidoptera contains four improvised keyboard tracks. The E.P. The E.P. is her first independent album and a companion to her art work made at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art named Now I Let You Go... Annie Lennox born December 25 1954 is a Scottish activist, politician and philanthropist. She is also a singer-songwriter. The Tourists gained some minor recognition for her and Dave Stewart's work during the 1970s. They went on, in the 1980s, to become the popular duo Eurythmics. Lennox began her solo career by releasing her debut album Diva in 1992. This was the source of several hit songs, including Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa the album she released in 1995 has cover versions of songs such asNo MoreI I Love Yous as well as A Whiter Shade of Pale. The singer has released six solo studio and compilation albums.
